Frank Costanza didn't take the subway all the way to New York to sit at a table:

Booth if she's sitting across from you wearing a short skirt with nothing underneath it just to tease you. Otherwise, table.

I find all this booth love puzzling. Booths are too unpredictable. Some are ok, but many are terrible. Can't adjust your distance from or level to the table.

Table gives you freedom. Freedom to move and adjust! Freedom to get up without a hassle! Tables are freedom! 'Murica!

Of course, we always get a wobbly table. So fuck it. I don't know.

It's also a good situation for the under the table cellphone camera snapshot, although you probably need the flash on.

If you're sitting in a booth, how can you see what's going on under the table and across from you?

That's why you drop your fork.

Just don't eat with said fork after you pick it up.

Booth with wife, table with buddies. We all are tall enough that we're banging knees or kicking each other's feet in a booth, especially the ones that have the fat metal support bracket taking up too much space underneath. I want to be able to straighten my legs once in a while, and table allows for all sorts of angles and pushbacks. Also, I like to be able to face the restaurant's door and booths often don't offer that view.
