Not to worry FB, the war is in its last throes:

He said Rice stopped short of accusing the Iraqis of displaying pro-Shiite bias in the operation and said it appeared that the security crackdown was going well.
... (this on the day 56 Iran-backed Shiites die in a market bombing)

She told the Iraqis that the operation must "rise above sectarianism" and that this was the "last chance for success," he said without elaborating.

There is no plan Q and no path to victory.

Send 21,000 more in to die, Sir Yes Sir, but not your children ... that's right General.

Gee, I thought this was about the story Dana Priest wrote about the lovely condition of our troops at Walter Reed. Downright horrific what she wrote.

I firmly believe that situations like this are caused by the fact that none of those pushing this war have any skin in the game. You can bet your ass that if little Jenna Bush or some random nephew of Rumsfeld's were injured in Iraq, they wouldn't end up in some mold-infested hovel.

  6. Obviously all these injured servicemen who were quoted hate America... ::)

You treat your wounded soldiers at the free clinic you have, not the hospital you want. [/Rummy]

Meanwhile, in the war on terror . . .

I've got nothing to add, other than reading the Walter Reed story, and then this one, has me so pissed off I can't see straight.

Then do something about it. Use your time wisely. Write your congressman. Wait, that won't work, either.

    Jesus.

Damn shame to read that. I was stationed at Walter Reed for a total of three months over two separate visits going through a Gulf War Illness study and it was a damned fine, albeit aged, facility. To hear that it's gotten to this state is disheartening at best.

  11. Is there a Part Two?
Of course, there's a Part Two.

Go straight to hell, you incompetent bastards.

Part two was even more infuriating than part one. Everyone in charge of that place should be sent to "club gitmo" or worse. I can't believe the incompetents in the military haven't been held accountable yet.

And congrats to the Post reporters who did this story. It finally got the military to think something might need to be done.
