No shit. Where was that running attack all year!?
Looked like the second coming of Jerome Bettis.

Don't forget one of the great forgotten classics, the 1966 NFL championship game. Meredith threw a pick in the end zone at the end that gave Green Bay a 34-27 win. It started the Cowboys' reputation as the team that could never win the big one in the late '60s (two NFL championship game losses to the Packers in '66 and '67; playoff losses to the Browns in '68 and '69; and the Super Bowl V loss to the Colts in '70 before they finally broke through and crushed the Dolphins in SB VI).

Steelers 31, Packers 27. Steelers have the edge in big game experience and coaching. Coaches who are as horrible at managing the end game as Mike McCarthy don't win championships no matter how many games they win in the regular season (see Marty Schottenheimer and Andy Reid).

Some of us here love the Steelers. Some of us hate them. But give them credit - they know how to get it done this time of year.

So, all signs point to a close game, but something's telling me this one could be a big time rout---reminiscent of some of the Super Bowls of the 80 and 90s--for the Packers. Green Bay's receiving game should be able to do some damage on the Dallas track and their defense could be tough for Pittsburgh to move against. If Ben throws some early picks, this could get ugly quick.

And this was mentioned on the championship thread, but have to call out kudos to a guy we love to poke fun at on here---Peter King nailed the Packers-Steelers Super Bowl in his pre-season NFL picks.

Yes he did. He picked the Steelers 33, Packers 27.

    I thought he was insane.

However, Peter kind of tainted his forecast by altering it to pick the Patriots over the Packers in the SI playoff preview issue earlier this month. That flip-flop deserves a certain amount of teasing.

If the Steelers can't pressure Rodgers, those WRs will shred that secondary.

I think this is one of these games that, over the course of two weeks, just about every one of us will go from one side to the next, because both of these teams have played outstanding and crappy, all within the course of the playoffs alone. Sometimes within a single game, as evidenced by yesterday's performances. Right now, head is leaning to GB, heart with PIT. But I can make really good arguments for either side winning. The only thing I can't see is GB blowing out Pittsburgh. Anythign over 14 points is unlikely, IMO.

Assuming they can hold on to the ball.

Jerry Jones must be crying himself to sleep over losing the New York media coverage.
