A little birdie told me the UM beat is open at the S-S.
    Anyone know anything?

And on the topic of South Florida papers what's up with the Herald's coverage of UF?
    Who is the beat writer?

    ???

    Where's Omar going?
They have a youngster there who is very good and should be able to step into that beat. I'd still like to know about Omar.

Omar is going to the Dolphins beat along with Harvey Fialkov.

Dolphins beat writer Alex Marvez is becoming Internet-only, in theory.

Moderator, who is the youngster you refer to?

  4. Joesph Goodman moved from preps to UF at the Herald.

Does that mean there are openings at both papers?
And what is the likelyhood someone from the outside could be hired to cover the Canes?

Can someone help me out? Is this based out of Orlando, or Fort Lauderdale, or where?

are they actually looking to advertise these spots? Cause like Moddy said, Shandel Richardson would be a solid fit to move into that beat.
For some reason, I'm left feeling this will be filled internally.

I don't think anyone has said there's an opening in Miami, just that it was idle speculation.
