    He also was a roadie for Jimi Hendrix. Told a funny story about it on the Tonight Show, how the drummer was hitting his set so hard one night that it started to slip off the riser, so Hartman had to lay down on stage holding it back. Hendrix comes up to him mid-song and goes "Workin' hard tonight, eh Mr. Roadie Man?"

    It was funnier when he told it.
