This headline just moved across the wire

    BC-FBC--Razorback Trainer,0236
^Nutt glad to have Dick back in practice
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas football coach Houston Nutt says two-a-day practices in the summertime heat like those on Monday serve not only to get players in better shape and to help them memorize plays, but also to show who can handle the stress.
``It takes a man to go through practice like this everyday. This is where the grind comes in, this is where you are looking for the focus, this is where you are looking for the concentration,'' Nutt said. ``Who is going to jump off-sides? Who is going to take care of the ball? who is going to line up properly and play at 100 miles per hour? That's what we are looking for during this week.''
Quarterback Casey Dick worked out with his teammates Monday for the first time in several days after laying off with a sore back, but didn't make it through the full evening session.
``(Dick) got about a half a practice in,'' Nutt said. ``He was throwing the ball well early and just tightened up. But I was glad to see him on the field tonight.''
Nutt said he was pleased with the efforts of the defense.
``Overall, I saw the defense swarming,'' he said. ``I saw the defense play awfully fast and it shows they can do it. What we want to do is do it every time we step on the field.''

Nutt sounds a little cocky, however.

yes, you stupid AP. Quit using the player's name in a headline.
And on a side note, the other qb there is named Johnson.
For the SportsJournalists.com historians, the award-winning headline from last year's thread was ...

Nutt pulls Johnson for young Dick as 'Cocks coming

I believe the SE of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the "state" newspaper in Arkansas, has sent down word that "Dick" will never be used in a headline.

  10. Yeah, word is it makes Griffin Smith blush.
