all of you are drunk on plagiarism kool-aid

    don't you get the point...

first offenders get a break. it's fundamental to our criminal justice system. to our ethics and morality.

people are human. they make mistakes.

we are compassionate on the first mistake.

why is that true of armed robbery, assault and battery, and domestic violence, but not PLAGIARISM?

the dreaded PLAGIARISM? unspeakable sin. capital punishment. no mercy.

you're all like a bunch of 14th century romanian villagers spooked by dracula. evil in your midst....cast it out....before it infects all of us....oooooooo

  2. Dude, integrity is much like your virginity. You don't get it back once it's gone.

    No second chances.

Sorry, Henry, but a mistake is misspelling a hed or leaving in "XXXcutline goes here" on a proof.

Plagiarism is not a mistake, it's a conscious decision. In the range of crimes against journalism and the public trust, it's a capital felony.

Well, the words are probably spelled right. So that's a plus.

Plagiarism is cheating on the profession. You don't get first offense excuses.
