Can't believe I didn't get some love for that pull.
Funniest John Denver song ever ... Second is "Forest Lawn."

Toledo has improved a bit since the John Denver days, but not dramatically.

Packos has three locations. The original is on Front Street on the east side of the Maumee River, a trip you'll probably only want to make during daylight hours on your first attempt. The ballpark neighborhood downtown is developing quite nicely, and if the Hens are in town you won't have any problem killing a night or two there. Just make sure you get tickets in advance. The other Packos location is in a strip mall in Sylvania, the suburb that hosts Jamie Farr's LPGA tour stop.

Frickers is a chain of wing places, can't knock it. Locations throughout the Toledo area. And the Navy Bistro gets the Hacky Seal of Approval (*ting!*)

If the Hens aren't in town, however, you'd probably be better off heading an hour north up to the Detroit/Windsor casinos. Or head 45 minutes or so to the east and ride the ferry out to Put-in-Bay, where there are plenty of fine watering holes. If you absolutely have to stay in Lucas County, however, a couple of spots to try are Nick and Jimmy's or Frogtown Johnny's, a place Katie Holmes used to go throw down at in her pre-Tom Cruise days.
