I must say that I have never tried the wicking blends.

But once the socks I washed for the only two men I've ever done laundry for stopped stinking with cotton, I was sold.

You can dress socks that are not made of nylon. They are harder to find, but I think that you will be happy with them. They are not thick like athletic socks.

I will have to look for the wicking blends that J_D mentioned.

I think that a 12-pack of Coors, a belt sander and a bottle of hydrogen peroxide might be the answer.

I stopped wearing sneakers with no socks about 10-plus years ago, haven't had problem since.

My feet smell fine...it's my taint that I am worried about.

A strategically placed cucumber/cantaloupe scented candle can fix that.

    This thread has endless possibilities.

But before we get too far off track, I tell Dr. J to put hand sanitizer on his feet when they're stinky at night. It seems to help for the moment.

Just wanted to give an update about my foot problem. The 100 percent cotton socks worked well but a close friend suggested that I rub deodorant on the bottom of my feet. In addition to using some medicated foot powder, the situation has improved tremendously. Thanks for all of the good advice.
