This is 100% wrong and uninformed.

Take a look at the SOFA agreement under which the troops that Obama has reinserted in to Iraq are operating under, and tell me that the same SOFA couldn't have been reached earlier. (You won't be able to tell me this, btw.)

That has nothing to do with my post regarding the 'no strategy' comment. Your strategy, however, should be making oop proud.

Thus far, the only strategies discussed have been the high lob with the sand wedge or the bump-and-run with the 7-iron.

ISIS seized Fallujah in January. We did nothing.

When they moved on Mosul, they moved heavy equipment in large convoys.

Either because we weren't ready -- and our intelligence gathering is way down as a result of our full withdraw -- or because we didn't want to, we didn't hit these convoys when they were easy targets.

Obama was briefed on ISIS in the summer of 2013.

I'm confident all our presidents are generally going to suck for the foreseeable future because whoever it happens to be knows they can fail to lead and it won't matter because Americans can get beheaded on video and it takes about 10 seconds for us to start fighting each other.

Specifically regarding Foley and Sotloff, let's take a look at this report:

This was met with a non-denial denial:

Could we have launched the rescue operation sooner? Did the President delay making a decision?

Probably should have launched the operation with those guys who were told to stand down for Benghazi. Oh wait ....

Not to mention, but IF he had launched the operation, and it failed, the screech machine would be screaming, "Why did he send them in so fast? He sent them on a suicide mission!"

That's the press conference - in 2008 - from the signing of the Status of Forces agreement setting the date for withdraw of American troops.

If a better agreement was necessary, why wasn't it signed then? Why couldn't the Iraqis be made to accept a different agreement then? Does Obama have super powers that Bush didn't have?

    Nice try.

Are the forces currently in Iraq operating under a SOFA?
