    Bob -- yes, it's a must.

Tech Crunch is implying the whole thing is made up: http://techcrunch.com/2010/09/17/jobs-strikes-back/

Hey-- if "Tech Crunch" is implying it ... it must be true.

No hard drive and no USB ports...

How can a college kid use this thing?

And porn is not a class at most universities, but I think you can major in it at Arizona State.

What I'm wondering is, where is her teacher/adviser? I cut her some slack because she is a college senior and is learning. If I'm the teacher, I tell her what others on this thread have said: "You have a new story. Jobs personally being a dick to you. Run with that." Where's the teacher to suggest that to her?

How old is this woman, if she was a "desirable hand model" in 1998?

I don't own any Apple products. Because of Steve Jobs, I will continue to not own any Apple products.

OK I finally read the story. I think her attitude should be commended, regardless of age. She went after the quotes, hard. She didn't take no for an answer. Most new journalists would have given up after the second phone call.

Sure, she should have found other routes. Who's to say she didn't? And how do we know she didn't turn Jobs' responses into a story after all?

And, finally, I like her point: Apple uses college kids as marketing fodder; in return, the company should cut college journalists some slack.

    That's dumb. But it's a free country.

I commend her for e-mailing Jobs. But why not ask Jobs the questions you want asked instead of just saying the PR people aren't getting back to me?

My point exactly. 99.9 percent of the world acts like that, they're left trying to figure out how to buy groceries and pay their light bill. This guys (and ones like him) are douches without fear.

If every person the girl knows says "We'll never buy your products again!"

    Jobs says: "OK"
