    Surprised this hasn't been mentioned:

Steve Carell, the bumbling star of NBC’s “The Office,” plans to leave the series at the end of the next season, potentially dealing a setback to the network as it tries to rejuvenate its prime time schedule.

So, does the show go on? Or is it time to end the thing already?

At this point, the only funny episodes are the ones centered about Michael. The Jim-Pam storyline is stale and kind of annoying. They should go out on top instead of ruining the show.

    Bring in Ricky Gervais. :)

I'm surprised he's stayed around as long as he did.

Ricky Gervais already gets $150K an episode from the american show.

Michael is the center of the show. If he goes it's time to close The Office.

Actually, I stopped watching it for the most part this season. I don't think it's as funny any more.

I recognize that it's a good show, but I've always found it very difficult to watch.

Micheal's over the top was one of the things I did not like about the show.

I think a Todd Packer type would be much, much better.

Carell had mentioned he was done after next year back in April:
