Superb. Mitch Daniels huffing and puffing that Obama hasn't fixed the economy yet.

Next, Lindsay Lohan bitching that Charlie Sheen isn't doing enough to fight drug abuse.

Good to know that Master Lock is working at full capacity. I guess crime is up.

NBC wondering whether this was Daniels' late entry into the GOP race, either in the primaries or as the candidate in a brokered election. It seems to be the product of a Chuck Todd masturbation about Newt winning Florida and creating panic in the streets, but a fun possibility.

"Budget Director for the Bush Administration" takes all the economic bullets out of the GOP gun and hands them right back to the Dems.

At least Willard-Mitt or Newt can pretend they wouldn't be just like Bush. Anybody intelligent knows it's bullshit of course, but Daniels was the wizard at the wheel when the economy power-dived into the abyss.

Obama is smart to start moving towards middle class and away from the poor. The fat white guy is back in vogue.

Was waiting for rim shot on the spilled milk. Needed fake golf swing after that one failed.

I would have liked speech better if Obama had invited some hero soldiers to sit in gallery, instead of Warren Buffet's secretary.

The Mitch Daniels dream is over, and not just because his wife wouldn't let him run. Daniels is so intent on "right-to-work" uber alles, Dems walked out of his State of the State speech, and protesters booed during it. And Mitch didn't want the protesters there -- he had invented some policy that capped the number of Statehouse visitors (besides legislators, staff, media and, of course, lobbyists) in order to prevent them from entering the building, a policy he rescinded after the first group (religious, naturally) got an exemption around it. Daniels is such a wonderful money manager, he "found" $300 million under the mattress that inexplicably hadn't been accounted for. Daniels is the leader in corporate giveaways and letting companies shit wherever they want. The best was his announcement of a 1,000-job initiative for a company that allegedly made video screens to put on top of trucks, and within a day it was revealed the owner was a major scam artist.

Plus, how is Mitch going to explain away being budget director while Bush exploded the budget?

As a great defense secretary once said, you run for president with the candidates you have, not the candidates you wish you had.
