Star-Ledger facing cutbacks?

    If scaling back the bonus can help avoid layoffs, why not?
    But in reference to your previous message about the current staffers not being panicked .. that's a good thing that I'm glad to hear

    (NOTE: I deleted the message Shockey quoted and was going to repost it as part of a new response quoting his original message, but he responded before I could repost)

    there have NEVER been layoffs at the star-ledger. buyouts, yes.

    hopefully, it won't ever get to the point where the bonus or layoffs issue is the only option.

    You're right... I stand corrected. Maybe cutting back (but not eliminating) the bonuses will help prevent the need for another round of buyouts.
