Stage falls on Sugarland crowd at Indiana State Fair

High winds knocked the rigging for the stage on to the crowd for a Sugarland concert at the Indiana State Fair. I heard from TV news reports that they might need a crane to remove the stage off of the victims that it fell on.

I have a bad feeling this isn't going to end well, especially based on the photo included with this story.

At least five dead, at least 30 injured according to preliminary reports.

CNN just went breaking

 

The pictures coming out of Indy TV are harrowing. I'd be shocked if the death toll isn't into double-digits. The entire stage fell down on the crowd.

 

My CNN has stupid people from Iowa.

 

They cut in for five minutes. "We go live to Indiana where we have an eyewitness.....eyewitness, 'yeah, it fell down.'....There you have it, we now take you back to bullshit filler you don't care about..."

 

And now it's back to covering a meaningless straw poll in Iowa.

There was a similar stage collapse at a festival in Canada about a month ago.

Amazingly, only four people were hurt.

 

Local TV pared the death toll to "at least two".
