A cabbie, JD Wilson, drove a dark green 56 Chrysler through back street St. Thomas. After the Ritz closed at 4am, he would take me to the top of the hill; the northside. From there, I could walk down to the Hull Bay bungalow and slip under the mosquito nets and fall asleep. He told me of his friend who had been amongst those killed. He said he was an electrician who was gunned down from a ladder while working his job.
