    Here's the cutline from the photo: "Acorns have become rare this season in the Midwest, some parts of the Northeast and as far west as California."

    In most people's books, that's almost the entire country.

    What's your problem with me?

    In my opinion, nothing was gained out of that story -- "there is a shortage of acorns ... but it's cyclical." The lack of acorns won't really affect the squirrel population because it's a regular change. It doesn't benefit anyone. I don't see the point of even writing that story.

    Did you write it? I honestly don't see what has you so tangled.
