Agreed. I'd largely moved on and forgotten about the spygate story until I heard the league destroyed all the confiscated evidence. They had to know how bad that would look. I can't figure out why they'd do it unless the idea of the public discovering what was on those tapes concerned them even more than a negative public reaction to evidence destruction.

That said, in this high-tech world of gadgetry, you'd think there'd be a better, smaller, video contraption than a plain old video camera. What about glasses with a built-in mini-camera that sends video straight to a remote in the coaches' box, or locker room, or zaps it onto Belicheck's fancy wristwatch or something?

If you're going to cheat, keep up with the times, folks.
