According to sources late Saturday, South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier will likely be named the next head coach at Miami. Spurrier, who won a national championship at Florida, is in his second season with the Gamecocks with a 13-10 overall record, including 6-5 in 2006. The coach is in the second year of a seven-year contract.

Probably the only move that would have saved Hurricane football from folding.

Now if they get rid of Shalayla, the'll be all set!

This should make the Hurricanes more likable.

If you mean "outside of Gainesville & Tallytown", I agree.

I was actually being sarcastic. The combination of "U" attitude and Spurrier arrogance would be quite a combination.

Perhaps the propper distinction might be: More respectable, yet more hated.

Did Coker get canned yet, or is the replacement named first at the U? I'm asking because nothing at the U would surprise me.

This would be a very interesting move if it happens... I say at least for now, this is bullshit...

  11. This could be a Perfect Storm of criminal behavior and sanctimony.
    Do this, please.

Anticipated scenario is that Coker's departure would be finalized in the next day or so . . . but
    await further developments. . . .
