You didn't get an upgrade with your recent promotion? I heard Johnny and Elliotte got one of those Verizon doohickeys that can play MP3s and air entire episodes of The Office.

I don't even have a camera phone, and I don't want one of those portable Lo-Jacks either. I just need something that calls, and sends and receives text messages. If it tells the time, all the better.

Waiting for the hands on my analog atomic wall clock to start spinning and then suddenly click into place when CST becomes CDT here. Anyone want a beer while I am up?

And is that why you have a 1970s porn star in your sidesaddle?

Well, the excitement is over. It took 4 minutes for the clock to jump from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. (well, 3:04 a.m.).

It is more fun to watch when it adjusts from CDT to CST and the hands have to spin through 11 hours to reset, especially with Pink Floyd music playing and a beer or something else to bring about the right mood.

Yes, I do need a life, and I will get one, dammit, when my term as moderator expires in ... um ... when exactly does this gig run its course?

To paraphase JCM: Ohhh yeah, moderating goes on, long after the thrill of moderating is gone.
