The Post Register of Idaho Falls, Idaho, a regional daily with a print circulation of 24,000, is looking for a sports reporter/page designer.

Applicants should have strong reporting skills and be well-versed in AP style. They should be creative and bold in page design and headline writing. Most of all, they should have an absolute commitment to accuracy. Extensive knowledge of page pagination is preferred.

The Post Register covers 20 high schools over a 10-county area. The four-person staff also follows a number of regional colleges, a minor league baseball team and an extensive recreation sports scene.

Idaho Falls is eastern Idaho's regional hub for health care, banking, shopping and transportation, and is home to a major Department of Energy laboratory, with numerous cultural and outdoor opportunities. It's less than two hours from Yellowstone and the Tetons and minutes away from world-class fly-fishing, hiking, skiing and hunting. The region is frequently named on top 10 lists for quality of life.

Applicants should submit resume, cover letter, references, writing samples and page design samples to Managing Editor Rob Thornberry via email at rthornberry@postregister.com. No calls please.
