We are looking for someone based in California with a broad interest in sports and recreational activities, who is a good storyteller and who enjoys the challenge of producing game and enterprise pieces in a deadline environment. Professional experience is preferred, but exceptional recent college graduates will be considered. Additional duties include layout and pagination of the sports pages. Knowledge of Quark a plus.     Money magazine created quite a stir some years back when its first cities-rated list put the Yuba City-Marysville area last. The locals were not pleased. That said, for a year or two, the pay is not awful for the area and there are plenty of chain restaurants to wash the Central Valley heat and fog off after work.
