Lewiston is in the middle of nowhere, but it's got every imaginable fast food place/chain restaurant and plenty of large retail outlets -- Eddie Bauer, Home Depot, Costco (across the river in Clarkston), blah, blah, blah. Hotter than shit in the summer but nice the rest of the year. Good folks to work with. Very blue-collar population as the local (struggling) lumber mill is the biggest employer. If you're a single 20-something male, the female population in that demo is a fine pool to fish from ... cute and fun.

Well shit, it's nearby Enterprise Oregon, so it must be great!

Umm, it's a long way from Oregon.

Well, not long, but not close.

    My bad.

It's only a 2-hour drive. Though, according to The Google it is a 32-hour walk.

My only two cents to this thread are this: Back when I worked in Idaho, the SE here was an immense help. A real cool cat.

Anybody heard anything from the paper?

It would not surprise me if no one has heard yet -- that tends to happen when you have to send your application to an ME rather than an SE. Not exactly the same sense of urgency.

Considering how small their staff is and their company's recent moves to cut costs, I can assure you they will move as fast as possible to seal this up. That is unless it gets frozen, which would shock me.
