The Daily Ardmoreite, a 9,000-daily/12,000-Sunday newspaper in southern Oklahoma, is looking for a sports reporter. The successful applicant will have demonstrated proficiency in producing lively, tight copy on deadline, detailed knowledge about a a wide range of different sports, is competent in page design and layout, and has a genuine love of high school sports and athletes. Experience with InDesign, NewsEditPro, PhotoShop and photography is desired but not necessary. Ideally, you will also have a bachelor's degree in journalism and one to two years experience in your profession. The Ardmoreite is the main daily newspaper for southern Oklahoma, encompassing 16 different communities in five counties, all of which expect, actually demand, thorough and concise coverage of their local team. The Ardmoreite's newsroom is evolving to embrace the 21st Century melding of print and online products, and we are also going through a redesign of the newspaper. Wow, their circulation was above 20K about eight years ago.

 

I don't think it was ever that high .... it was maybe 15K when I worked there a little over a decade ago.
