    Judging by the area, that should be livable. Rent looks damn low per month in that area.

    $10 an hour is $20,800 a year. That would be my (completely uneducated, utterly uninformed) guess.

    I don't know about Ashland specifically, but I can tell you that is exactly what is offered at other papers within that chain.
