$20,000...what a joke. I can make more than that at K-Mart. Ah, so this is what a bachelor's in journalism gets me, eh?

 

AJR wrote about this paper roughly 10 years ago during its "State of the Newspaper" series. I found it somewhat sad that the editor at the time told the paper that reporters made $300 a week.

The AJR reporter then asked several of the paper's reporters what they made, and they said it was less. When the AJR reporter asked the editor, he fumbled for an answer about their job duties and experience.

 

Sounds like the name of an indoor soccer team

 

It's about the kids, not the coaches....I've written many a h.s. gamer that includes ONLY kid quotes...not that I don't talk to the coaches, too...but I only use those quotes if it helps drive the story...

 

I thought the Punxsutawney Spirit was a WNBA team.

 

From looking at everyone's posts on here, this paper is clearly "bush league."

 

$20,000 isn't bad. And there's a possibility of making up to $25,000.

If you have a wife and kids, you could easily support them on that salary.

 

You're joking, I hope, right? haha In Massachusetts, that can barely pay for rent of an apartment, let alone a mortgage. Wife and kids? Please...unless she makes six figures, it ain't happening.
