The News-Messenger, a Gannett Newspaper in the Newspaper Network of Central Ohio, is looking for a sportswriter/paginator.
Duties include covering sport events and generating copy with a focus on high school and local sports.
Some pagination involved (Quark and NewsEditPro), but this is primarily a writing position.
    PM me with any questions.
Contact is Executive Editor Jill Nevels-Haun at jhaun@fremont.gannett.com.

    Vince,

So you're pretty much living in the newsroom, eh?

    Where did Kevin go?

Kevin returned to Cleveland...got a job with a trade magazine in Willoughby.
Yeah, I'm in the newsroom, I'm out covering games...2/3 of the world is covered by water, and I feel like I'm covering the other third.

Good luck, Vince. As someone working at two papers (full-time on State Route 12 and part-time on State Route 53 — you'll figure it out) west of him, I know it's been a struggle over the past couple of years, and this won't make it any easier. Hope a replacement (or two, or three) arrives quickly.
