    The new hire is replacing me.

    I figured to be here 1-2 years, but an opening close to home surfaced and I jumped on it.

    This is a very chill job (well, most days). You'd be working with a young, talented sports staff and hands-off ME. Those facts alone are worth dealing with the five-month winters here.

    The apartment is nice, too. It'll obviously be more expensive than your average apartment, but compared to other housing in town...it's a bargain.

    The bars are decent. Shopping is decent. Food options are decent. Minot's not a bad little city, really. You could do A LOT worse for a first or second job.

    Cost of living -- outside of rent and a haircut ($20!), I've noticed -- is pretty normal.
