The Carteret County News-Times in Morehead City, a community newspaper that publishes three days a week, is seeking a sports reporter who enjoys covering high school events. Other notable sports in this coastal community are fishing tournaments and road races (running). Knowledge of photography a plus, taking photos required, will train as needed. Opportunity to write a weekly column, which can extend beyond community to state, regional and national, collegiate and pro. Social media savvy a big plus. Insurance and dental plan available, as well as flex spending account. Hours swing shifty, to some degree Monday through Saturday.
