    JournalismJobs.com - Job Listing - Sports Reporter

    Description:
The Sea Coast Echo has an immediate opening for a full-time local sports reporter. This position is located in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, and is perfect for someone with weekly or small daily newspaper experience or a recent college graduate.

We cover five area high schools at our twice-weekly paper. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable writing everything from game stories to features and has experience in layout and a social media presence. Photography skills are a plus.

We’re located on the Gulf of Mexico between New Orleans and Biloxi. If you enjoy great weather year-round and an office located just 700 feet from the beach, this is an ideal spot for you. We are looking to hire quickly for this position.

Prior newspaper experience is required. We offer a competitive salary and full benefit package including medical and dental.

To apply, send your resume and five writing clips (as well as any photo samples) – or online portfolio – to Publisher Rob Langrell at rlangrell@seacoastecho.com

Bay St. Louis is a beautiful little coastal town, or at least it was pre-Katrina. Only drawback is rental housing likely is pricey.
