The ideal candidate will excel in anchoring, reporting, shooting, editing, planning and writing great stories. The ability to use social media to connect with the fans, be well versed in all sports and promote the digital focus in the newsroom will be essential for success in this position. Buffalo is a huge sports town with 2 major league teams seeking an MMJ/Reporter with a passion for sports.

    A minimum of 2 years experience shooting, editing and reporting with previous on air experience required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.

    This would be interesting. I grew up watching Buffalo news and sports on all three of the city's channels. WIVB is the CBS affiliate and I can actually remember when its call letters were WBEN.

    That would've been back when the longtime "Voice of the Bills," Van Miller, was in charge. Fandemonium!

    Used to be the best in town, but took a major hit when John Murphy (sports director/Miller's replacement on Bills broadcasts) jumped to buffalobills.com and Paul Peck changed careers. I'm thinking this position opened up when their sports producer followed Murph to the Bills.
