The Enid News & Eagle is seeking a versatile sports journalist to join our collaborative, award-winning sports team. The News & Eagle and EnidNews.com provide readers in northwest Oklahoma with comprehensive coverage of the area’s vibrant sports scene. Primary coverage includes several area high schools, a local junior college and an active baseball scene that includes hosting the National Junior College World Series at one of the nation’s premier small-town baseball stadiums. Responsibilities would include covering a regular assigned beat that would involve not just writing game stories, but engaging features. The sports reporter should be comfortable and knowledgeable in using AP Style. This position also requires experience in video, online posting, pagination and a thorough knowledge of InDesign. Some experience with NewsEdit Pro and photography is helpful.

Contact: If this sounds like you — and you are comfortable with working under deadline — please forward a resume with three journalism references and three samples of your work, including page design, to daver@enidnews.com.
