    I seem to recall hearing that Qatar was pretty liberal and Westernized. Think there are a lot of petroleum engineers and oil industry workers from the big U.S. and European energy companies, so they get American movies and McDonald's over there.

    Watched a documentary on Middle Eastern call centers and it was funny how they actually taught the operators "American slang" so they wouldn't sound Middle Eastern. One guy who they followed spent hours practicing his American slang with one of his friends.
