    I don't know why this one sticks with me. Perhaps, it's the father-son connection.
    British sprinter Derek Redmond, in the semifinals of the 400 in Barcelona, snaps his hamstring. His father makes it down to the track to help him to the finish line...with a standing ovation from the athletes and crowd. It's the best moment I've seen in nearly two decades in the profession.

    I remember that. I would've hated to be a journalist covering that. I would've lost all objectivity. If you don't turn into a fanboy there, turn in your human card.

    Sorry, Tom. Jackie was safe.
    But to this day all you have to do is say "Jackie Robinson" to Yogi and he'll reply "He was out."
