Had no idea which board to put this on, and apologize if this is D_B'd.

Anybody up for seeing Simmons try to match wits with Colbert?

Blah ... never mind. If you missed it, you didn't miss anything at all.

Nothing to see here. Go about your business. Forget I said anything.

I watched it and it was kinda boring. Colbert was rarely in character. The only thing that struck me as odd was when Simmons admitted that BoSox fans might be happier losing. He spent all of the time leading up to the title and after the title saying that BoSox fans weren't sadomaschist, they were just really obssessed and they didn't enjoy losing any more than typical fans do. It was an odd turn for him to say that.

Isn't he known for being blah on TV & radio?

I didn't see Simmons. But I will weigh in on what was one of the funniest guest appearances I've seen in a long time -- Norm MacDonald on the Daily Show. He went on a riff about Steve Irwin that was hilarious and practically blasphemous, given the mourning still going on about his death.

The bit with the Hungarian ambassador was much funnier than Simmons

Not when you're talking about Bill Simmons and Norm MacDonald...

Admittedly, MacDonald is not for everyone, but man does he make me laugh my ass off...

I thought his Steve Irwin bit last night was hysterical, especially coupled with Jon Stewart getting so uncomfortable during it. Seriously bad karma, but good laughs.
