Sports Editor - Wooster, Ohio

We're seeking an editor who loves sports, especially local high school sports, for two daily newspapers and their websites in Wooster and Ashland, Ohio.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Representing the company in the community in a professional, engaging manner.
• Planning and editing of content, especially for digital products.
• Managing sports staffers to provide coverage online and in print.
• Some reporting work, including covering games and features.
• Using social media to grow digital readership.
• Supporting Wooster's annual Best of Preps event honoring local athletes.

Bachelors degree in Journalism, English or related field preferred but not required. Must possess solid computer skills with the ability to learn new computer skills. Previous journalism experience necessary. This position is full-time with varied hours.
