Times Bulletin Media seeks a sports editor for its 5,200-circulation daily newspaper and comprehensive online activity. If you enjoy covering high school athletes, here is an opportunity to run your own show in a sports-crazy market. As sports editor at an AP award-winning newspaper and website, you will cover games, recruit and direct a small group of stringers to assist with coverage, edit copy, layout pages (Adobe In-Design), take digital photographs, and work with Internet-based, multi-media products and resources which includes appearing as a panelist on a sports talk show and producing for a regional sports magazine. You get to work with good equipment and direct the sports report in collaboration with an experienced editor. The successful candidate will be able to build solid relationships with coaches and athletic directors and create a balanced report, featuring all sports at five local high schools. This is an ideal opportunity to work in print and digital media, including Webcast activities. To apply, please send your resume and a letter of application, including your compensation requirements, to Kirk Dougal, editor-in-chief, PO Box 271, Van Wert, OH 45891, or forward them by e-mail to kdougal@timesbulletin.com. Times Bulletin Media is an equal opportunity employer and offers a smoke-free workplace with a full complement of benefits.

Interviewed here once and was offered the job sight unseen, which I thought was a little weird.

No longer a Brown Publishing property, which should be a plus.
Paper was bought in the bankruptcy action by another daily down the road in Delphos.
