    This is on the northern coast of Oregon...don't think sunny beach town like you'd have in the South. This will be a rainy, windy spot, but some days can be glorious. Also think small-town...you'll be doing pretty much all small-school preps. Could be a really nice place to settle in for someone looking for a slower pace of life.

    Local casinos offer some level of entertainment, along with what the beach has to offer. You're about 90 minutes from Portland, although you can get pretty isolated with snow and ice in the mountain passes.

    Some of my first opportunities were with papers along our coast, but alas I ended up starting out closer to Portland instead.
