The Claremore Daily Progress has an immediate opening for a versatile sports journalist to join our award-winning sports department. The Claremore Daily Progress and Claremoreprogress.com provide readers in northeast Oklahoma with comprehensive coverage of the area’s vibrant sports scene. Primary coverage includes several area high schools, and Rogers State University. Responsibilities would include covering a regular assigned beat that would involve not just writing game stories, but engaging features about a variety of sporting activities. The sports editor should be comfortable and knowledgeable in using AP Style. This position also requires experience in photography, video, online posting, and pagination.
