    " . . . Michigan . . . player . . ."

Attorney for assaulted student said more than 15 PLAYERS were involved with the attack.

I wonder how long it takes to find out who the other 13+ players are.

The Big Ten has to put its foot down, and if there's any substance at all to the 15-additional-players charge -- if they were even in the building -- tell Sparty they're not going to the Alpo Bowl or the Ty-Dee Bowl or whatever other postseason extravaganza they end up getting invited to. Let the thugs sit at home.

I just don't know what Dantonio will do if thats true. That means not one of the 15 to 20 players said, "hey this isn't a good idea." You would think he would suspend the players for at least one game, probably the bowl game. Unless some of the others have prior problems - then maybe they will get booted as well.

And good for this kid for getting an attorney.

What do you think he'll do? Dantonio let Winston walk straight out of a jail cell into the starting lineup.

I stand corrected about Sparty. It doesn't matter who the coach is, Sparty will find a way to fuck it up for themselves, on and off the field.

I don't know, you would think the university would put some pressure on him to put his foot down. I'm sure they don't want to relive the days of Bobby Williams where the team is out of control. Not to mention bad. Lets not forget, Dantonio isn't exactly improving drastically.

Eight more players suspended -- rumors of many more.

Interesting note: The brawl took place minutes after the conclusion of the annual team banquet.

Damn, beat me to it, Starman.

At least three of those eight were starters. Maybe more, but I don't follow the team enough to know every starter.

    The players:
Wide receivers B.J. Cunningham, Mark Dell and Fred Smith, running back Ashton Leggett, cornerback Chris L. Rucker, linebacker/safety Brynden Trawick, defensive tackle Ishmyl Johnson and defensive end Jamiihr Williams

Without Cunningham and Dell and Leggit the Spartans will have zero offense.

Dell and Cunningham are the No. 2 and 3 receivers behind Blair white, but without them the team doesn't have much else. Leggit is like the fourth string running back, but he was behind Winston and Edwin Baker who I believe is injured. Leggit actually started against Western and he was injured last year so he was in line to get carries. So the Spartans are now paper thin on offense. I'm sure they will lose by 40 in the bowl now.

Oh and Chris Rucker might be their best DB, which isn't saying much because State's DBs are terrible. I don't think Traywick is a starter but he gets significant playing time.

Suspend all the thugs. Bag the bowl game.

I don't understand why you'd bag the bowl game.

Why punish the rest of the team for the actions of a few idiots?
