... in the fourth and final game of the day at the NCAA D-II baseball tournament in Sauget, Ill. Sonoma 4, Central Missouri 4.

Game started about 5 hours ago.

Why, you may ask yourself, am I listening to this mess? We have a kid on the Central Missouri team and I wanted to get a Web update on him before I go to bed. He's gone 3-for-6, so it ain't his fault.

Central Mo's third pitcher has tossed seven-plus innings of 1-hit ball with 11 K's. Sonoma's current pitcher is named Fockler.

If you're looking for entertainment near Sauget, head to the Hustler club in some weird-named town near there. Or don't.

Fun fact about Central Missouri State -- the men's teams are the Mules, women's teams the Jennies.

True dat. Matlock is staying out there for another inning. He's thrown 120 pitches.

All four of Central Mo.'s runs have been unearned.

The Mules played 11 innings in their first game, a win against Franklin Pierce.

It's been worth it to listen to the Sonoma State radio guy, who's getting progessively more punchy as this thing wears on.

How many brews do you think he has snuck between innings?

They don't stay open until 4 a.m. like the ones in West Texas?

Honestly, I'm giving it another 15 minutes and I'm gonna say to hell with it.

Going to the bottom of the 17th.
