Something to read: The North Pond Hermit

Good work by GQ on this.
Not all the information I wanted, but the writer did a solid job getting the "hermit" to talk to him.

Really impressed with his efforts and method with this story.

Cool story. Like you, i wish for a more intriguing end, but you cant always have that with nonfiction. Enjoyed the read just the same though.

There are times i'd like to disappear into the woods, though unlike Chris, I'd either die or have to retreat back on the first cold night.

 

I can't imagine surviving one cold Maine winter in a tent, muchless 20 or 30.

 

I knew this looked familiar. The NYT did a cool 5-minute video last year.
