K2 is just one of many substances of this type that is becoming more prevalent among a younger generation. Most are sold in adult book/movie stores (here, at least).

We're starting to see it in the Army. The barracks lawyers (read: jailhouse lawyers) think there's no test for it, so it's not illegal or they can't get caught. They're wrong, but that's another story.

Army commanders have recently begun developing policies -- or, including these in current drug policies --- but regulations already include any substance taken to induce a drug-type high. I guess they just wanted to put these specific names in writing.

The one we've seen the most is Spike 99.

"Synthetic Cannabinoid" sounds like a great nickname for an Internet message board.

Talked to "my boy." He read the story, laughed and gave me two spliffs. He says he's not going that route. I guess if your local supplier isn't going for it, perhaps the DEA could step in. Just sayin......
