Something good at Walmart NEW UPDATE

So Ms. Slappy and I went to Walmart this morning to buy dog food for Dottie. Down and dirty trip, in and out. She suggested going to the one we always go to, I countered with one about the same distance in the other direction -- which is where we went.
Buy our stuff, see some patrons no one should see (same county as an open position on the Jobs board; think the fat, ugly girl during cheerleader tryouts of "The Replacements") and start loading the trunk.
We finish, look up and 30 feet in front of us is a puppy; black and white mix, dirty, mottled hair. This thing is maybe, maybe two months old.
It went to Ms. Slappy's feet and started whimpering; She picked it up and all hell broke loose. Well, she started bawling how she couldn't leave the dog and what kind of Walker County redneck would do that to a poor puppy. She had me take it while she called her sister-in-law who works with rescue dogs and the little thing was whimpering and shaking.
So we put it in the back seat and took it home. It fell asleep on the way and we wondered how Dottie, always an only child, would act.
Dottie's hesitant and has yapped a couple of times and is pouting on occasion. The puppy has followed her around the house for some of the day, but has spent most of the time sleeping, eating or drinking. I gave the puppy a bath right away, then Ms. Slappy gave him another. Was filthy.
Am just releasing here. We're not sure if we want a second dog, but we had to take it. I dont think it wandered there; judging by the location, some stupid fucking hilljack dropped it in the parking lot and took off. What kind of sick fucks just drop off a two-month old dog and let it fend for itself?

    Pics forthcoming...

You did the right thing, slap. Just make sure you get it fully checked out, and if you don't keep it, take it to a no-kill shelter.

    Congrats on saving a life.

So will the dog cook its own meth and grow up to run a video bingo "casino?" Awesomeness.

Sorry. Not in my town. Any more, any way
It will, however, learn how to shoot and kill family members.

I was thinking of where the animal came from, not where it is currently residing. You can take the dog out of Walker County, but ...

That's a cool looking puppy, Slappy. I hope you can keep it. Many karma point for you and Mrs. S. saving that little guy.

We rescued a nine-month-old beagle last weekend in what was supposed to be a harmless trip to Trader Joe's. The SPCA was camped out in front of the Petsmart, and Scout (think the Harper Lee book) was the newest member of the family.

We were thinking about adopting, but seeing this little girl was the clincher to add to our already adopted Dachshund.

Scout is a wonderful dog. She is great with Lil 93 and a very nice to all in the house. Mama is very happy, so that means everybody is happy.

Oh, the fucks that hunt with dogs in my area keep the SPCAs filled with hounds. They "hunt" deer with dogs in Virginia. Real sporting fuckers.

What a beautiful little pup, Slappy. Hope either you can provide a good home, or you can find someone who will.
