Someone explain this stupid, rock-headed logic: It's not defensive MVP

Several voters said they would be influenced by whether a candidate's team makes the postseason.

"I probably will lean for Urlacher over Taylor because the Bears have won 11 games and the Dolphins six," Chicago Tribune writer Don Pierson said.

    Give Columbo a break.

He's branching out. Now he criticizes football writers as well as baseball writers.

Watch out basketball writers! Don't you dare screw up the MVP this year and screw Dwayne Wade!

He's not really branching out. It's still all things Miami with him.

I'm not poisoned by Columbo's apparent "history" because I'm a casual poster and I respect Pierson's work but it seems to be a legit question.

When Urlacher doesn't have two big DT's in front of him to tie up blockers he isn't nearly as dominating. History has shown us this.

I suggest you could put a less studly LB in place of Urlacher this year and the Bears would still be where they are today.

What Taylor has done merits MVP consideration and it would not be a travesty if he won the award over Urlacher.

Ahhhh... another moron who thinks that any one non-quarterback is worth a five-game difference in record.

    You are a fucking simpleton.
