Solyndra...why is no one talking about this?

Here is today's AP story on Solyndra:

    http://dailycaller.com/2011/09/16/white-house-wary-of-solyndra-re-election-effects/

This is a major, major story that could cost quite a few members of the Obama Administration their jobs. Seems strange that no one is talking about it on these boards.

This looks terrible for the President, restructuring a huge loan to a dying company to protect a huge donor at the expense of the American taxpayer. Also, this makes the whole green jobs initiative look terrible. I was wondering what everyone thought about what's going on with this story.

Was this mentioned in the Brooks or Friedman column the other day about how green initiatives have not created jobs? I meant to start a thread on that. I found it interesting, if not disheartening.

Is Solyndra that new antidepression medicine or acid-reflux fighter? I always get those medical ads confused.

Because a witch hunt won't put a single unemployed construction worker back on the job.

So you are saying this is a "witch hunt" with no merit to what is being alleged?

  8. If you changed the name from Solyndra to Halliburton - you'd have to shut down the Internet

Yep. When will people start talking about frog-marching Obama out of the White House in chains?

And no one has gotten held accountable for that either.

Politicians sticking up for their sugar daddies at the expense of the taxpayers is hardly new. You want to vote Obama out of office because of this? Fine. The replacement, be it Mitt Romney or Rick Perry or anyone else, will also screw over the taxpayers to protect a source of the oodles of money you need to win any kind of significant election in this country.

This is what happens when you have a political system that:
    1. Allows for only two choices in each election
    2. Forces you to raise millions of dollars to win a House seat, tens of millions to win a Governorship or Senate seat and upwards of $1 billion to win the Presidency

Of course this argument was never made by the left during the previous administration. It was always "GET CHENEY" or "GET BUSH".

Democrats are simon pure don't ya know.
