Regardless of some fans' tendency to get overheated over every season, a Series win should buy a franchise five years of "Hell yes!" from their fans. Heck, if my team ever wins again, I'll go a decade without bitching about them. Last year, the Cards finally stole one to make up for 1985 and 1987. Yes, a stolen one is worth two, dammit.

And in the case of the White Sox, their win should buy a lifetime of "Hell yeah! Where were you when . . . ?"

And yeah, Buckdub, why the Cubs-hate? Sure there are lots of douchebaggy Cub fans. Plenty of suburban brats with Cub stickers on their fancy cars...no doubt. But every team has its less-than-admirable elements within its fan base.
