Newbie, fetch me a beer. There are people here who get that little joke. You're not one of them.
Impressive condescension. I bow to your brilliance.

Exactly how many kids in the business does Boots have? :)

Well, considering the way Boots likes it, kids aren't an option!

    My SE does the following:

Works longer and harder than I do, and I work my ass off.

Represents her writers with management, big time and sticks up for us like no one else I've worked for ever has.

Is willing to have hard-assed, intense discussions, debates and even fights over stories, if the story is important enough. Or sometimes when it isn't.

Pushes me to be better so our publications are better.

    Is pretty much accessable 24/7.

    Doesn't spew excessive corporate propaganda.

Most of all, she gets it. She understands what I do, what all her writers and shooters need and to the extent possible, gives us the tools we need.

Mostly keeps me from getting too spun out.

Is patient when I bitch about money.

    Gives clear direction.

Is she perfect? No. She has a temper and a strong, fiery personality that isn't to everyone's taste. But so do I.

So, yeah, I'm happy with her.

Not at the moment, but I'll ask if resumes are being accepted.
