Does it require a probing background check?

Nothing to look into? Of course not, FAA. Strange lights in the sky witnessed by air traffic controllers should absolutely be dismissed out of hand.

I for one welcome our new Martian overlords.

    Didn't say that, AA.

I just can't imagine the kooks those reporters are having to deal with now. They do straight reporting on the story and suddenly they're getting e-mails claiming the lights are actually ships from a race of lizard people living in the hollow core of the Earth.

Sorry, it wasn't directed at you, Inky, but this guy...

Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration said that though air traffic controllers at Sky Harbor Airport witnessed the lights, they do not know the cause. Nothing appeared on radar and Gregor said the FAA will not be investigating.

“There's nothing to look into,” Gregor said.
