OK, they've finally found a formula for funny: Half an hour. One skit. Weekend Update. -30-

The Hall & Oates song had me roaring.

"...ending 40 years of cruelty to whales."

    That was gold too.

At a time when we're sick of all the nasty TV campaigns, tonight's SNL was nice to sit amongst friends and "reach across the aisle" and just laugh at it all. I wish it was an hour. Can't wait for next week.

  7. The Bill Murray debate question was tremendous.

I actually liked the answers better. Is there any way Darrell Hammond's John McCain can win next month's SNL election, while Obama takes the Oval Office. Fred Armisen tries, but he hasn't found a hook for Obama yet. They should try and find a different direction to take the character. Make it more broad. Hell - turn Obama into the Shaft of political figures.

The debate sketch was pretty boring, UNTIL Bill Murray came on. His was the best. I half expected to see him hanging by a noose by the time the candidates were done.

Disagree. The skit was awesome when McCain was wandering around the camera.
Then Obama was talking about being abducted by aliens and his best friend being a terrorist.
The multiple questions at the same time.

Side note: Kristin Wiig is hot.

    It was OK.

An episode of 30 Rock would have been much, much funnier.

They need to go hire somebody better to play Obama.

Armisen sucks on so many different levels.
